A seven-day Ayurvedic program to restore vitality, heal screen-damaged bodies, and rebuild Ojas

About this program

If you work in front of a screen for most of your day, your body already knows the cost. The neck that carries the weight of forward head posture. The shoulders that never fully drop. The wrists that ache by afternoon. The eyes that are tired long before the day ends. And underneath all of it, a particular kind of fatigue that sleep no longer fixes. Ojas Renewal is a seven-day residential Ayurvedic program at Ayurveda Yoga Villa, Wayanad - designed specifically for people whose working lives happen on screens. It is built from three of the villa's most clinically powerful modalities, combined into a single sequenced arc. Rasayana Rejuvenation, the classical Ayurvedic therapy for cellular regeneration, immunity, and the restoration of Ojas (vital essence), forms the medical backbone. Daily Ayurvedic doctor consultations, immune-enhancing treatments, herbal medicines prepared in the villa's own pharmacy from the surrounding Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, and a prescribed Ayurvedic diet work together to rebuild the body from the tissue level upward. Kalari Chikitsa, the traditional orthopedic healing system derived from Kalaripayattu, addresses the physical patterns that screen work builds into the body - neck tension, shoulder compression, wrist and forearm strain, lower back stiffness - through Uzhichil foot massage, Kizhithirumu herbal pouch therapy, and precise work on the 107 vital Marma points of the body. Therapeutic yoga and pranayama sessions target the sense organs and nervous system, rebuilding energy, restoring breath depth, and reducing the specific fatigue signature of digital overload. Located on the banks of the Kabani River, surrounded by the evergreen forest of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, the setting itself begins the detox before the first session starts.

Every other program on Lifed addresses general wellness or broad recovery categories. Ojas Renewal addresses a specific modern condition: the physical and cellular cost of a screen-centric professional life. The combination of Kalari Chikitsa and Rasayana is rare even in Kerala's wellness landscape. Kalari Chikitsa is Kerala's own orthopedic tradition, developed over centuries to treat exactly the kind of physical patterns that desk work creates: compressed spines, forward head carriage, wrist strain, and neuromuscular fatigue. Rasayana then works at the cellular level to regenerate what chronic stress and depleted sleep have damaged. What makes this possible at Ayurveda Yoga Villa specifically is the forest. The villa operates its own pharmacy from herbs collected fresh from the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve that surrounds it. The medicines are not sourced from a supplier. They are prepared on site from plants growing within walking distance of the treatment rooms.
